  • When Can You Serve A 30 Day No-Cause Notice ?

A 30 Day No-Cause Notice may be posted when a lease expires or if there is no lease. This notice simply states that the tenant must vacate within 30 days of the notice posting (or a mutually agreed upon date beyond 30 days). If the tenant is elderly, disabled, or severely ill, they may request an additional 30 days and the landlord must grant it, or they can take it to court. If the tenant does not vacate by the specified date, the eviction process can be started.
